ArmInfo. The Armenian governmen has sent an interstate complaint against Azerbaijan to the ECHR. This was announced by the representation of Armenia to the ECHR.
It is noted that this is the first interstate complaint submitted by Armenia to the ECHR, and this is one of the most important steps in the legal process against Azerbaijan. In particular, the Government of Armenia claims that Azerbaijan violated a number of rights of the inhabitants of Artsakh and Armenia. Including the right to life, property, integrity, private and family life, education.
The government provided an extensive set of evidence for the complaint. The complaint raises, among other things, a number of issues related to the protection of the rights of prisoners of war, civilians, killed and wounded civilians, their relatives who have lost their property, as well as representatives of local and international media.
"In the near future, additional evidence will be sent to the European Court, confirming the claims already filed. The office of the representative of the Republic of Armenia to the ECHR will inform the public about further events and steps taken, "the message says.
