ArmInfo. MP from the Prosperous Armenia faction Naira Zohrabyan is sure that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wants to get her withdrawn from PACE. The lawmaker said this during a press conference, noting that now the country's leadership is dissatisfied with her, and is trying in every possible way to put a spoke in the wheels.
"I know that now a commission on ethics is being created in parliament, which will deal specifically with me. They will examine my applications and statuses in social networks under a microscope. This is done with one goal - to recall me from PACE. The same thing happened when the authorities intended to deprive me of the post of chairperson of the human rights commission. I used the word "garbage", which is a dictionary synonym for unclean. However, this was regarded as the greatest insult and deprived me of this status. It is not clear to me that if phrases and expressions are so carefully monitored in our country, then why does the ethics commission not deal with the vocabulary of Pashinyan himself? He used all sorts of insults, including against judges, claiming "judges whining under the walls". And there are hundreds of such examples.
But I don't care, I'm even ready to lay down my mandate, but I will not back down from defending our Motherland, "the lawmaker noted.
Zohrabyan also stressed that many lawmakers from the "My Step" faction did not want to vote for the deprivation of her post as head of the human rights commission, but they had no choice. She also stated that Pashinyan probably did not like her last speech at PACE. "Now the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE has changed its style of work. If earlier they behaved too aggressively, now they have turned into doves of peace. The head of the delegation, Samad Seyidov, himself stated that he was ready for a dialogue with Armenia, and even asked the Council of Europe to help establish a dialogue. He asked what to do for this. And I said that the only way to start a dialogue is to finally release our prisoners, "Zohrabyan emphasized.
