Party leader demands to clarify the situation with prices for air  tickets in Armenia

ArmInfo.The leader of the "Bright Armenia" party and the same-named faction in the Armenian parliament Edmon Marukyan demands to clarify the situation with  prices for air tickets.

The MP on his Facebook page said that he had addressed this issue  with a written request to the chairman of the State Commission for  the Protection of Economic Competition Gegham Gevorgyan. Edmon  Marukyan recalled that since February 1, air communication with  Russia and the EAEU countries has resumed. "Meanwhile, we receive  information and complaints from many citizens that the prices for air  tickets to different cities of Russia have increased many-fold. This  applies not only to Russian, but also to Armenian air carriers. And  we are talking only about prices for one-way tickets. Accordingly, I   asked the chairman of the State Commission for the Protection of  Economic Competition to study the reasons for the rise in prices for  tickets to Russia, as well as to use the tools provided to the  commission to reduce prices for unreasonably expensive tickets and  apply appropriate sanctions against offenders. As soon as I receive  an answer, it will be published on my official page, "the lawmaker  wrote.

It should be noted that the pilot project "Traveling without  COVID-19" was launched on February 1, within which the citizens of  Armenia 72 hours before departure, having passed a coronavirus test  in pre-approved laboratories, and having received a negative result,  will receive the right to fly to cities of the Russian Federation.
