ArmInfo. The National Security Service of Armenia detained the chairman of the council of a certain company registered abroad, D.G. (David Galstyan - Ed.), Who is accused of supplying the Ministry of Defense with unusable ammunition.
According to the press service of the National Security Service, D.G. conspired with the director of the same company A.B. in order to steal funds on an especially large scale. They signed an agreement with the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, according to which they were going to carry out the supply of artillery shells for the guns of 1983-1986. However, instead of this, the MO was supplied with Czech-made projectiles in 1977 worth $ 1,083,000. This ammunition was not suitable for the above-mentioned guns, which made it impossible to use them.
D.G. and the director of the company A. B. charges were brought against them, and a petition for their arrest was submitted to the court. The necessary investigative actions are being taken to identify the damage caused to the state and all the circumstances of the fraud.
Moreover, the SNB is investigating several more cases of corruption and abuse related to D.G. during the supply of weapons to the Ministry of Defense.
