Armenia`s Ministry of Emergency Situations: A number of roads in  Armenia, as well as the Stepantsminda- Lars highway, are closed for  the passage of heavy trucks

ArmInfo.According to the data received from the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management  Center of North Ossetia of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of  the Russian Federation, the Stepantsminda- Lars highway is closed for  the passage of trucks, about 400 trucks have accumulated on the  Russian side.  According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the  decision to ban the entry of foreign citizens into Georgia remains in  force. The ban does not apply to cargo transportation.

As reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia,  according to the situation at 10:45am, there are also closed and  impassable roads on the territory of the Republic of Armenia. Thus,  the Vardenyats pass, the roads leading to the Amberd fortress and  Lake Kari are closed.

''The section of the Chiva-Elpi road of the Vayots Dzor region and  the Dilijan pass are closed for the passage of trucks with trailers.  Due to a blizzard, the Chayniy section of the Sevan-Yerevan road is  closed for the passage of freight vehicles. The passage of vehicles  on the section of the Saravan-Zanger road, as well as the Tigranashen  pass, is difficult, "the RA Ministry of Emergencies reported, adding  that it is snowing in a number of regions of the RA, icy roads on the  roads. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia urged drivers  to travel on the roads of the republic exclusively with winter tires.
