Robert Kocharyan: An investigation should be carried out to find out whether there was betrayal during the Artsakh war

“In order to obtain real results during the investigation, the government in the country must change. The current government does not even want to hear about any investigation. However, it must be held, ”the second president of Armenia said.

He recalled that an offer was made to the third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, to abandon 7 regions for $ 5 billion, which was rejected. This is evidenced by the recording of a telephone conversation between Sargsyan and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. “There are also rumors that a similar proposal was made to the incumbent government, but what their answer is unclear. However, the situation now is such that the territories were lost and are under the control of the enemy, and we did not receive answers to questions. I cannot say that there is a causal relationship between these events, but our law enforcement agencies can do it. And until during a professional investigation the fact of land sale is not confirmed or denied, every citizen has the right to think that the deal has taken place, ”Kocharyan said.

At the same time, the second president of Armenia recalled that the head of the General Staff of Armenia Onik Gasparyan had warned the prime minister that we were not ready for war, but Pashinyan did not even think to prevent the war. When all these facts are combined, the idea of ​​betrayal seems to be quite reasonable. Kocharyan stressed that he cannot say that the Armenian authorities are agents of Turkey, but if they were, the situation would be approximately the same.

“As a rule, when a country wants to wreak havoc and destroy another country, some actions are taken. The split of society, the undermining of the army and the security system, deterioration of relations with allies, nullification of public confidence in state institutions. And what did the Armenian leadership not do of the abovementioned? The society was divided into "blacks" and "whites", the National Security Service hunted "witches". The army was destroyed, and the March 1 case was intended to discredit all the heroes of the first Artsakh war.
