ArmInfo.Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan received newly appointed Ambassador of Belarus to Armenia Alexander Konyuk. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Justice. According to the source, Badasyan greeted the Ambassador to Armenia and expressed confidence that his activities will contribute to the development and strengthening of ties between the two countries.
The Ambassador thanked for the meeting and assured that during his stay in Armenia he will do everything possible to expand and deepen cooperation between the ministries of justice of the two countries. A lawyer by profession, as well as a former Prosecutor General of Belarus, Ambassador Konyuk inquired about the fight against corruption in Armenia, in particular, the work on the creation of the Anti-Corruption Committee.
Minister Badasyan presented the goals of creating the committee and said that the structure will investigate corruption crimes, as well as conduct operational-search activities. During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed. An agreement was reached on strengthening cooperation.
