ArmInfo.After the adoption of the ceasefire agreement on November 9, 2020, the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides, from November 13 to this day, continue to search and exchange the bodies of the dead servicemen.
Yesterday, on January 24, during search and rescue operations, 2 bodies were found, one from the Varanda (Fizuli) region, the second from the Tumi village of the Hadrut region. According to preliminary data, the body found in Tumi territory is a civilian.
A forensic medical examination was ordered to establish the identity of the bodies. From November 13, 2020 to January 24, 2021, rescue groups of Artsakh found 1283 bodies, 15 of which, according to preliminary data, are civilians who did not leave their homes for various reasons, and these settlements are currently not under the control of Artsakh.
The latter were either killed or died as a result of shelling during the fighting. According to preliminary data, 1268 people are military, volunteers and reservists who took part in the hostilities. Today, prospecting works are carried out in the Varanda (Fizuli), Jrakan (Jebrail) regions, in the Hadrut region, as well as in the direction of Matagis.
It should be noted that on Saturday the Azerbaijani side handed over the bodies of 30 servicemen to the Armenian. The transferred bodies are unrecognizable and DNA examinations are assigned to determine the personalities.
