ArmInfo.During a telephone conversation, Ministers of Defense of Armenia and Russia Vagharshak Harutyunyan and Sergey Shoigu discussed urgent tasks of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense, the operational situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as a number of issues related to the return of prisoners of war and hostages, and the search for missing persons.
Harutyunyan thanked his Russian counterpart for the effective work of the peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as for significant assistance in resolving security issues during the deployment of Russian border guards in the Syunik region of the Republic of Armenia.
The Defense Ministers of the two countries also exchanged views on the latest military-political events in the region.
