ArmInfo. The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and France, Ara Ayvazyan and Jean-Yves Le Drian, during the telephone conversation, discussed in detail the issues related to the post-war situation in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, regional security and peace.
Presenting the fulfillment of the provisions of the trilateral agreement of November 9 on ceasefire and the deployment of peacekeepers in Artsakh to ArmInfo, Ayvazyan drew the attention of his French counterpart to the need for a comprehensive solution of urgent humanitarian issues, in particular, the return to their homeland of persons with the status prisoners of war and prisoners. The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and France also exchanged views on the steps taken to resolve the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh, stressing the need for direct and continuous participation of international organizations in this process.
One of the key topics of Ayvazyan's conversation with Le Drian was the steps taken to preserve the historical, cultural and religious heritage of Artsakh in the territories under the control of Azerbaijan, and the role of specialized international structures in this process. The Armenian Foreign Minister stated the urgency of this issue in the light of the efforts undertaken by Azerbaijan to destroy the Armenian heritage and distort its originality. During the telephone conversation, they spoke about the resumption of the peace process within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and the forthcoming schedule of the co- chairs in this regard. The interlocutors also exchanged views on a number of issues on the bilateral agenda, on enhancing dialogue at different levels.-
