ArmInfo. We did not concede a single millimeter of territories in Syunik. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this from the rostrum of the parliament.

The Prime Minister said that the territory of the Syunik region is  fixed, among other things, by the law "On the administrative division  of Armenia" of 2010.

"I would like to remind you that the" Prosperous Armenia "faction  voted for this document, according to which Azerbaijan is located  outside the territory of the Shurnukh village. I understand that  there is a generation that does not remember Syunik until 1990. But  the borders of Syunik are fixed by law. And this law was signed by  all opposition factions.

Moreover, I would like to remind you that in 2011 Armenia intended to  sign the Kazan document (on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict,  Ed. note), which Azerbaijan rejected. However, according to this  document, the districts of Artsakh Kovsakan and Sanasar were to be  transferred to Azerbaijan, "Pashinyan noted.

The Prime Minister said that he himself called on the citizens of the  region to organize self-defense units and take positions in Syunik.  However, on December 18, the troops were ordered to retreat. And the  basis for such a decision was certain processes that forced the  country's leadership to make such a decision.

"All these actions were dictated by only one task - to ensure the  safety of Syunik. Now Armenian and Russian border guards are  stationed there, and in general, the security of Syunik is ensured,  '' Pashinyan concluded.
