ArmInfo. An attempt to form a public demand for the resignation of the government and the prime minister has failed. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this  from the rostrum of parliament.

The Prime Minister recalled that at the end of the year he proposed  holding early parliamentary elections in order to satisfy the  opposition's demand.

"It's surprising to me, at least, that representatives of the  parliamentary opposition reject this proposal.  Therefore, it is  illogical for the ruling party to hold elections for itself. The  opposition says that the government intends to rig the elections. But  after all, we did not do this during the previous elections, so it is  extremely illogical to accuse us of this.

Consequently, political forces that do not want to hold early  elections understand that they would be defeated. Therefore, they are  against our proposal, " Pashinyan concluded.
