ArmInfo.Head of the Brught Armenia parliamentary faction, Edmon Marukyan, believes that the authorities are afraid of investigating the war and pre-war period. The MP said this in an interview with reporters.
Marukyan noted that if all the actions of the authorities were correct, they could well agree to investigate the events of the war. "If the government has no sins, mistakes, omissions that have put Armenia in front of this catastrophe, they could agree to an investigation. But that did not happen. All our suggestions fail. Until the position of the ruling faction changes, chaos will reign in the country," he stressed. The head of the Bright Armenia also touched upon possible early parliamentary elections, noting that the opposition did not demand the necessity of holding parliamentary elections; this is the agenda of the Prime Minister and the ruling party.
"The country's leadership put the issue of holding early elections on the agenda, they saw that their proposal did not cause general enthusiasm. Now, the ruling faction says that since the opposition does not want, there will be no elections. We are ready for extraordinary or regular elections. When the parliament is dissolved, we are ready to take part in the elections, "Marukyan said.
The MP noted that there is one way to dissolve the parliament - the Prime Minister must resign, after which the National Assembly should not elect the prime minister twice, after which the parliament will be dissolved.
