ArmInfo. In Armenia, the procedure for passing a medical and social examination for military personnel and civilians who were injured during hostilities will change.
The government of the country at a meeting on January 14 approved this procedure. As RA Minister of Labor and Social Issues Mesrop Arakelyan noted, it is envisaged, in particular, to introduce a simplified procedure for obtaining wheelchairs, walkers and medical supplies. Currently, the decision is made three months after the treatment and the person received a disability group. By a new decision of the executive body, the presence of a disability group will not become mandatory. Wounded military personnel and civilians will be able to use medical equipment and supplies without passing an examination and having a disability group. To do this, you only need to have an appropriate certificate from a medical institution or a medical examination at home, after which, within 5 days, the authorized body will assess the degree of need and make an appropriate decision. Thus, as the minister noted, no longer the needy themselves will seek assistance, but representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, based on the data of the Ministry of Health, will visit the wounded and make decisions on the spot.
