Within the framework of cooperation between the Russian-Armenian University (RAU) and the Apkarian Foundation, the Artsakh Center for Justice and Justice was established in RAU as a separate structural department. In the future, the latter can become a factual basis for filing lawsuits in order to restore the violated rights of the injured persons or their successors and receive compensation for lost property.The legal groups of Armenia and Artsakh of the Center for Justice and Justice of Artsakh, mainly consisting of students-novice lawyers, will be trained in the methodology conducting interviews with war victims in accordance with international legal standards.
According to the co-founder of the Center, Judge of the Supreme Court of the Orange Administrative District of California, Kasia Abgaryan, the Artsakh Justice and Justice Center was created with the aim of making the voice of the Armenians who suffered in the Artsakh war audible, as well as for registering, preserving and demonstrating their testimonies. Note that in April 2020, RAU and the Apkarian Foundation signed a memorandum of cooperation, according to which students of the Institute of Law and Politics of RAU will be given the opportunity to undergo retraining at leading foreign universities.
