ArmInfo. Opposition candidate for prime minister of Armenia Vazgen Manukyan touched upon the trilateral meeting in Moscow, which took place on January 11.
Manukyan, in particular, stated that this meeting was another defeat for Armenia. "Armenia did not receive a positive result from this meeting, and there was no shift in the issue of prisoners. Azerbaijan once again secured what it wanted. It was another shameful defeat for Armenia.
As a result of the trilateral statement of November 9, Azerbaijan has already received more than it could have dreamed of. At the same time, Azerbaijan constantly violates some points of this statement. Firstly, point 1 that the parties remain in their places, and secondly, point 8 on the exchange of prisoners of war and other detained persons, "Manukyan emphasized. At the same time, according to him, Aliyev in Moscow activated the 9th paragraph of the statement concerning the unblocking of communications in the region, according to which Azerbaijan will be able to travel to Nakhichevan through Armenia. This point, according to Manukyan, is of strategic importance for Baku.
"What could Armenia get from the meeting on January 11, but did not get it? First, the question should have been raised that paragraph 1 of the trilateral statement of November 9 was violated by Azerbaijan. All this poses a danger to Syunik. , the document does not even talk about the settlement of the conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group on the status of Artsakh, which also became another defeat for Yerevan. And, of course, it was necessary to resolve the issue related to the prisoners.
The trilateral meeting on January 11 and the joint statement confirmed our opinion about that the symbol of defeat must go away, otherwise our losses and humiliation will continue, "concluded Manukyan.
