ArmInfo. The head of the Ministry of Justice Rustam Badasyan met with the human rights defenders who were holding a protest action in front of the department. An ArmInfo correspondent reports.
To note, today the human rights defenders of Armenia held a protest action in front of the building of the Ministry of Justice. They demanded from the Justice Ministry to clarify whether the document would be signed during the visit of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Moscow.
Badasyan assured the protesters that the Ministry of Justice had not received the agreement, which the media has been actively writing about recently, the minister called these rumors disinformation. <Do not believe these rumors. I assure you, if such an agreement existed, it would certainly have entered the Ministry of Justice, but we have not received any document. If the signing of any agreement was planned, I as a member of the government would know about it.
It should be clearly understood that all international treaties, before signing, are coordinated with the Ministry of Justice, so, all talk about a secret document is outright disinformation. Such information stuffing is carried out in order to sow panic and despair in society. This is a new fashion, as a rule, telegram channels make informational stuffing, and then the media refer to them, "the minister stressed. Badasyan also noted that the trilateral agreement of November 9 is only a decree on the intention of the parties to carry out certain actions. The minister also stressed that he, as a citizen of Armenia, is also concerned about the situation in Syunik, but he is sure that the government of the country will never let the citizens down and will be guided by the demand of the people in solving all issues.
To recall, recently information appeared in the media that the Ministry of Justice received a draft agreement, which is planned to be signed in Russia. According to the press, the Ministry of Justice should clarify whether the wording of this treaty is consistent with the Constitution of Armenia. Under this agreement, Armenia transfers a number of settlements to Azerbaijan, opens a corridor linking Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan. Moreover, according to this document, Armenia undertakes to withdraw its troops from Artsakh.
