ArmInfo.Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan convened an expanded working meeting on the programs for settling social and housing problems of the population, during which the participants discussed approaches to solving the complex problems of citizens returning to Artsakh.
As reported by the press service of the head of state, Minister of Labor and Social Issues of Armenia Mesrop Arakelyan and heads of state authorized bodies of the Republic of Artsakh took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, Harutyunyan stressed that first of all, it is necessary to complete the inventory of free housing stock in the communities. In this context, the President instructed the heads of administrations in the coming days to complete the lists and submit them to the authorized state bodies.
He stressed that apart from renovation, these apartments will be equipped with the necessary minimum property and equipment. The families settled in these apartments will also be provided with funds for the development of economic activity. During the year, within the framework of state, charitable and other programs of assistance in the communities, fast- building houses with all the conditions necessary for life will be installed. The President said that thanks to the effective efforts of the government, a large amount of infrastructure was restored in a short time, the majority of which was completely destroyed as a result of rocket attacks on the enemy.
He stated that large-scale programs are also planned to pave inter-rural roads, increase irrigated land and encourage agricultural work.
It is reported that during the meeting it was proposed to extend the assistance to the population in the amount of 68 thousand AMD (excluding men aged 18 to 58) for several months. However, this proposal for the social assistance program must be finalized and approved by the Government of Armenia.
