ArmInfo.Calls for an armed coup were taken during the protest today. Ombudsman of Armenia Arman Tatoyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
Tatoyan, in particular, noted: "Immediately after that, one of the opposition leaders stressed in his public speech that violence is unacceptable, issues should be resolved only by constitutional means, however, in any case, such calls are unacceptable. Organizers of mass protests should remember that the opposition is also an institution of statehood, and the environment of solidarity in the country depends on the opposition as well. The rule of law and the guarantee of human rights must be at the center of all initiatives. At the same time, law enforcement and other competent state bodies are obliged to ensure the rule of law both in their own actions and in the country as a whole."
To note, today, during the opposition's protest action, one of the participants made an appeal to resolve the issue of the change of power through an armed coup. However, opposition candidate for prime minister Vazgen Manukyan noted that the change of power should take place exclusively in a constitutional way and such statements are unacceptable.
