ArmInfo.Very dangerous clouds are gradually gathering over our region, in particular over the Armenia's neighbor Iran. Member of the National Democratic Pole Initiative Group, hero of the Artsakh war Zhirayr Sefilyan expressed a similar opinion to ArmInfo.
According to his estimates, all this became one of the geopolitical results of the 44-day war. Accordingly, the politician estimates the next foreseeable period for Armenia as a period full of dangers, new challenges and threats. According to him, in the coming days the region may become an arena of new shocks - an aftershock, which will also reach Armenia.
"For this reason, I consider it necessary to show foresight and jointly, by joint efforts, to enter into dialogue in the direction of finding a way out of the country from this situation. That is, to do what we have not done until today. Dialogue within the country is necessary and the regional processes going on around Armenia make it irreversible," he stressed. According to the politician, against this background, a conflict situation still exists between the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and Moscow. Moreover, the latter arose at the stage of the revolution of 2018. As a result of Pashinyan's de facto refusal to transfer power to the Kremlin's candidate, then-prime minister Karen Karapetyan.
Subsequently, after becoming prime minister, Pashinyan, according to Sefilyan, fulfilled all Moscow's instructions, of course, with the exception of his own resignation. In this light, he noted that even at the time of signing the Trilateral Agreement of November 9, the same Shushi was not surrendered to the enemy. Moreover, there were hostilities with the aim of finally clearing the city from Azerbaijanis.
"In this light, I am convinced that if Pashinyan refused to sign this shameful document, Shushi would be completely under our control in just a couple of days. Moreover, we could have ended the war with a more positive configuration. For which it was necessary to change the command of the army, and, of course, the tactics of warfare. The latter was supposed to pursue the goal of destroying the enemy by exhausting him," Sefilyan summed up.
