There are closed and impassable roads on the territory of Armenia,  the Lars checkpoint is open

ArmInfo. On the territory of Armenia, as of the morning of December 23, there are closed and impassable roads. This was reported by the press service of the RA  Ministry of Emergency Situations.

In particular, according to the source, the roads leading to the  Amberd fortress and to Lake Kari are closed for vehicles.

The road to the Areni-Khachik settlements is also closed. The  Vardenyats pass is closed for trucks with trailers, it is difficult  for other vehicles to pass. In Gegharkunik region, on the Vardenyats  pass, in the Syunik region and on the highways of Akhuryan and  Artik-Alagyaz communities, ice is observed.  It is snowing in the  Vayots Dzor,Kotayk and Shirak regions, as well as in the Baghramyan  and Armavir regions of the Armavir region and the Spitak community of  the Lori region. All drivers are advised to use winter tires  exclusively.

According to the data received from the Department for Emergency  Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and from  the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergencies of the  Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway  is open for all types of vehicles.

According to the information received from the Ministry of Internal  Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the decision to ban the entry of  foreign citizens into Georgia remains in force. The ban does not  apply to cargo transportation.
