ArmInfo. The Russian peacekeeping contingent continues to carry out tasks on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reports.
According to the source, at twenty-three observation posts, Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the- clock monitoring of the situation and control over the observance of the ceasefire. The ceasefire is observed along the entire line of contact. The Russian peacekeeping contingent ensures the safe return of citizens to their places of permanent residence, provides humanitarian assistance, and restores civilian infrastructure.
During the day, Russian peacekeepers ensured the safe return of 306 refugees from the territory of Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh. Since November 14, 2020, 42,051 people have returned to their former residences in Nagorno-Karabakh. In the village of Martakert, with the assistance of Russian peacekeepers, one residential building and 1.6 km of power transmission lines have been restored by the forces of a repair team. Since the beginning of the work, 23 residential buildings and 7.9 km of power transmission lines have been restored. The Russian peacekeeping contingent, in cooperation with representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Nagorno-Karabakh, continues to search for and transfer the bodies of those killed during the hostilities. A hotline has been organized to collect information about the missing participants in the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. Since the beginning of its work, 521 appeals have been received. All appeals were forwarded to the search groups of the Center for Reconciliation of the Parties. The Russian mobile medical team in the Chartar settlement provided outpatient care to 35 local residents, including one child. In total, Russian military doctors provided medical care to 759 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh, of which 85 are children. All actions of the Russian peacekeeping contingent are carried out in compliance with measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
To ensure the security of the Russian peacekeepers and prevent possible incidents, continuous interaction is maintained with the general staffs of the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
