ArmInfo. Reservist generals and retired military personnel of the RA Armed Forces issued a joint statement. In a statement, the generals stated the need to form a new, professional government in Armenia.
In particular, the statement reads: "We, retired generals of the RA Armed Forces, consider the alarming situation in front of the Motherland dangerous. We are aware of the need to find solutions, emphasizing the need for professionalism, effective foreign and domestic policy, guided by the general security of the state.
Given the need to form new, professional, knowledgeable and politically prepared government bodies on key issues, we make this appeal to our society and government. Unfortunately, recent events and the unleashed war have led to the loss of our homeland and its most important element of security. Our people and the Army, having united all their efforts, stood on the front line and in the rear defending the Motherland, but the ignorant, careless, arrogant authorities led our country in a destructive way.
It is necessary to reorganize and use the full potential of Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora, analyze and assess the situation, outline the right paths and quickly begin to implement them. We call on our society to take a sober view of the growing problems and new threats to security in the region. To this end, we consider it necessary to establish internal political stability in the country, to form a new competent, knowledgeable and experienced government, to clearly define tasks in all state structures, and especially in the army. The current government has shown that it is incapable of running the state, they do not have the necessary qualities for this, they cannot bear the burden of that heavy responsibility, and they must immediately resign. We continue to support our people and army; we are ready to direct our efforts to ensure the security of Armenia and Artsakh.
In the current situation, in parallel with the peacekeeping efforts of our ally Russia, we must not remain indifferent and be ready for any encroachment by the enemy," the statement emphasizes.
The statement was signed by former Minister of Defense of Armenia, Colonel General of the Armenian Armed Forces Seyran Ohanyan, Colonel General of the RA Armed Forces Yuri Khachaturov, Colonel General of the RA Armed Forces Movses Hakobyan , Lieutenant General of the RA Armed Forces Mikayel Grigoryan, Lieutenant General of the Armed Forces of the RA Armed Forces Hayk Kotanjyan , Lieutenant General of the RA Armed Forces Levon Mnatsakanyan, Lieutenant General of the RA Armed Forces Arshavir Gharamyan , Lieutenant General of the RA Armed Forces Alik Mirzabekyan , Major General of the RA Armed Forces Samvel Karapetyan, Major General of the Armed Forces RA Armen Kaghramanyan, Major General of the RA Armed Forces Vladik Hovhannisyan , Major General of the RA Armed Forces Vyacheslav Danielyan, Major General of the RA Armed Forces Valery Grigoryan, Major General of the RA Armed Forces Ashot Petrosyan.
