ArmInfo.A protest action is taking place in the Syunik region of Armenia. As an ArmInfo correspondent reports, the protesters blocked the road leading to the city of Kapan.
The reason for the action was the fact that several communities of Artsakh adjacent to the Syunik region were transferred to Azerbaijan. This circumstance worried the residents of the region. The protesters noted that they wanted to live in peace, but they fear shelling of the border part of the road, which was actively fired by Azerbaijanis in the 1990s, moreover, then people were kidnapped on the roads. Volunteers taking part in the action noticed that before the posts were located in such a way that the road was safe, however, now they are ordered to withdraw from their positions. The protesters noticed that Syunik is their homeland and they are not going to leave it and, if the need arises, they will defend it with arms in hand to the last drop of blood.
The participants of the action demand to immediately resolve the issue related to the current situation.
