ArmInfo. Attempts to put pressure on the lawmakers of the National Assembly of Armenia will receive the toughest response from the state. A similar opinion was expressed to ArmInfo by the deputy head, acting Head of the State Control Service of Armenia Tigran Ulikhanyan.
"Today I see this pressure in one plane - informational. A stream of information and disinformation flows from the pages of our media on the lawmakers and to the political authorities in general, using the dirtiest, unacceptable vocabulary. The authors and orderers of this campaign are trying to discredit specific people with such unacceptable vocabulary, " he stressed.
At the same time, Ulikhanyan did not want to disclose the details of the measures taken in this direction. According to him, such pressure on government officials is unacceptable, since discrediting state authorities, among other things, leads to a decrease in the level of security of all citizens. Ulikhanyan assesses what is happening as violence, including against other citizens of the country. In this light, he pointed to the function of the state authorities in protecting, inter alia, the interests of the country's population. Meanwhile, politicians who are discredited and under a constant stream of abuse, may have problems with the implementation of their own functions to protect the interests and rights of citizens.
"Very soon we will simply stop this process of discrediting. I have no doubt about it. We will put an end to information attacks on government officials, their families, information terror. We will put an end to the used wording, low, dirty speech and of course swearing, all that we have seen especially clearly over the past weeks. Now we are developing mechanisms for defining the concept of information terror. And very soon tough administrative measures will be taken in this direction, "Ulikhanyan concluded.
