Despite the war imposed  on us by the Azerbaijani- Turkish alliance, having lost most of our  Motherland and thousands of lives, we still managed to save Artsakh.  Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan wrote about this on his Facebook  page.  Harutyunyan noted that the Armenians of Artsakh continue to  live in Artsakh, and will continue to fight for their rights and  freedoms, for national dignity. The Artsakh President also expressed  condolences to the families of the killed servicemen, noting that  they are grateful and indebted to the families of every hero who fell  for the Motherland.

"From December 19 to December 21, three days of mourning will be  declared in the republics of Artsakh and Armenia in memory of our  compatriots who died during the war. Despite the difficult situation,  the independence and the Constitution of Artsakh continue to operate.  It should be noted that the protection of human rights in  international relations remains a purely declarative desire. The  international community has largely failed to fulfill its  obligations, turning a blind eye to the outrageous facts of crimes  against humanity committed against Armenians, "said Harutyunyan.

According to the President of Artsakh, in this difficult situation,  one should face the reality, fix the existing problems, set clear  goals and achieve them with hard, consistent work.  <Let me tell you  briefly what we should do. First, the security sector. Of course,  ensuring the safety of our citizens is the main priority of the  state, because without a safe environment it is impossible to achieve  success and development in other areas. Obviously, the issues that  most concern citizens and authorities in the post-war period are  security and uncertainty.

On the one hand, we have a line of contact with the Azerbaijani side,  which, as a result of the war, was lengthened by about 2.5-fold, this  line practically approached some of our settlements. Moreover, we  have very limited ties with Armenia, on the other hand, we have  limited human and technical resources. We have security guarantees  due to the constant support of the entire Armenian people and the  Republic of Armenia in the presence of peacekeepers from the Russian  Federation. Now the Artsakh authorities are doing everything possible  to ensure the elimination of problems in the field of security and  uncertainty, "Harutyunyan stressed.

The Artsakh President said that the Azerbaijani side continues to  carry out provocations, in particular, in the villages of Khtsaberd  and Berdadzor. As a result, the Artsakh Defense Army and Russian  peacekeepers stopped these provocations. And yesterday provocations  were carried out near the village of Khin Shen, Shusha region. No one  was injured in Berdadzor, but several dozen of our servicemen were  taken prisoners in the Khtsaberd region and the Ministry of Defense  is now finding out all the details. All those responsible will be  held accountable. Every effort is being made to ensure that they  return home as soon as possible.  The leadership of Armenia and  Artsakh are actively cooperating with the Russian side to neutralize  provocations from Azerbaijan. And the Artsakh Defense Army, in turn,  carries out its duties at the border, "Harutyunyan said.

It should be noted that Artsakh ombudsman Artak Beglaryan informed  that 60 servicemen were taken prisoner in the direction of Khtsaberd.
