ArmInfo. In Nagorno-Karabakh, the identity of two local residents, beheaded by the Azerbaijani military, has been identified. The Guardian writes about this. The killed were 69-year-old Gennady Petrosyan from the village of Madatashen and 82-year-old Yuri Asryan from Azokh.
They were identified by local residents. They said that the victims did not participate in the armed conflict. Videos of their executions appeared in late November and early December. Both were killed by people in the uniform of the Azerbaijani army. In the footage, one of Petrosyan's killers called it revenge.
Petrosyan moved to Madatashen in the late 1980s from the Azerbaijani city of Sumgait. Like Asryan, he refused to leave his home when the Azerbaijani army arrived.
Human Rights Ombudsman of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Artak Beglaryan called on the international community to intensify efforts to investigate war crimes. He noted that during the conflict, Western countries were silent.
