ArmInfo.Servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping continent continue to equip checkpoints in the Lachin corridor, the press service of the RF Ministry of Defense reports received by ArmInfo.
Observation posts are equipped with "Checkpoint" fortifications, designed to protect servicemen from small arms and shrapnel, as well as conduct all-round observation of the surrounding area. At present, Russian peacekeepers are monitoring the situation around the clock and overseeing the observance of the ceasefire. Russian peacekeepers ensure the safety of the movement of civilian vehicles and residents through the Lachin corridor, the transportation of food and various goods, accompany and ensure the safety of repair teams performing tasks to restore infrastructure facilities.
The message recalls that in accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, from 00:00 Moscow time on November 10 this year, a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were declared. A peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation is deployed to control the ceasefire and military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh. Russian peacekeepers ensure the safe return of refugees and the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh.
