Hours earlier, the Armenian Defense Ministry announced a new offensive by the Azerbaijani army in the south of Nagorno-Karabakh. "The Azerbaijani side has resumed offensive actions in the direction of the settlements of Old Taghlar (Hin Taghlar) and Khtsaberd," the defense ministry said, adding that the Artsakh Defense Army is taking proportionate actions aimed at suppressing the activity of Azerbaijani units.
In turn, the Spokesperson of the Prime Minister of Armenia Mane Gevorgyan shifted all responsibility for stabilizing the situation on Moscow, stating that the Armenian side informed the Russian military about the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. "The offensive actions of Azerbaijani forces in the direction of the villages of Hin Taghlar and Khtsaberd, first of all, should be followed by the reaction of the peacekeepers of the Russian Federation. The leadership of the peacekeepers is fully informed about the events taking place since morning," she wrote on her Facebook page.
It is also worth noting that the previous evening, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces launched a provocation in the direction of Hadrut, as a result of which three Armenian volunteers were injured.
At the same time, according to information from the wargonzo project from the Hadrut front, to three villages that are now under the control of the Artsakh Defense Army - Khin Taher, Khtsavand and Kirsavan, which remained within Karabakh borders thanks to the valiant struggle of local residents who defended their villages - are actually surrounded by the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani armored vehicles have been pulled to this section.
“Initially, the Azerbaijani military tried to take the villages with infantry and assault troops, but the soldiers of the Artsakh Defense Army managed to stop them and defend the villages. However, in the late afternoon, the enemy began to prepare for a new assault, tanks and artillery were brought into the clash zone. Apparently the night will be hot. All villages are still under the control of the Artsakh Defense Army. But the balance of power is not equal. Hope for peacekeepers ”, - the WarGonzo project notes.
