ArmInfo. The rally of the Movement to Save the Motherland, which took place in front of the Armenian National Assembly, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan ended.
However, the protesters will gather tomorrow at 11:00am local time in front of the RA government.
Almost all the speakers emphasized that this is an apolitical struggle and that this is a struggle for the preservation of national dignity.
This was also stated by the opposition candidate for the post of Prime Minister of Armenia Vazgen Manukyan.
"Our struggle is not a political struggle, our struggle is not a struggle for a change of power, but a national struggle that we waged both 200 years ago and 1000 years ago. What was done with Artsakh will be done in the future with Armenia. We were the only winner state in this region, we were considered a state, with one of the most powerful armies. For 2.5 years, all this was destroyed.
This cannot last long, the longer it goes on, the more destructive it will be for Armenia. Now we are on our knees, begging for mercy from this or that country. Let's get off our knees again and move forward. I see ahead how we will become a just and strong state. Forward to victory, "said the candidate for prime minister.
At today's rally thousands of Pashinyan's opponents gathered in front of the National Assembly of Armenia. People chanted "Nikol, traitor!", "Nikol, go away!" Large police force were also pulled to parliament.
The rally took place against the background of the Prime Minister's speech to the lawmakers. During his speech, Pashinyan made it clear that he was not going to leave. And he still assures that the conflict is being resolved in the interests of the peoples of Armenia, Artsakh and Azerbaijan. Although, if we consider the content of the notorious act of surrender, it becomes obvious that it is only in the interests of Azerbaijan so far, and certainly not in the interests of the Karabakh people, thousands of whom have lost their homes.
