Aram I and Karekin II called on Pashinyan to leave, while opposition  at this time blocks Yerevan`s main streets 

ArmInfo.Catholicos of the Great House of Cilician Aram I called on the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan to resign.

The appeal posted on the official website of the Catholicosate, in  particular, notes: "The Armenian people are deeply alarmed, the  thought of defeat left them in uncertainty and despair: We lost most  of Artsakh, built and flourishing with the blood of our children,  despite the brave resistance of our heroic army. We have lost our  national dignity and pride. We have had many victims, prisoners of  war, wounded and refugees. The people demand a comprehensive and  clear account of this terrible tragedy.

We are faced with uncertainty. Our people in Armenia, Artsakh and the  Diaspora express a just protest against the document signed between  Armenia and Azerbaijan, which, along with Artsakh, also threatens the  territorial integrity, security and independence of Armenia. Our  country is like an uncontrollable ship caught in a storm. In these  critical conditions, the unity of our people is more than necessary.  The collective will of our people, the common and supreme interests  of the people and the homeland should be above all goals and become  the determining factors of our decisions and actions, "Aram I said in  his address.

According to him, guided by these principles, Armenian Prime Minister  Pashinyan came to power more than 2 years ago. "In the context of the  current crisis, we call on Pashinyan, guided by the same principles,  to make a decision to leave the post of prime minister, giving the  National Assembly (parliament) the opportunity to elect a new prime  minister in compliance with the constitution. We expect that the  transitional government of consent, which will formed under the new  prime minister, will consider holding early elections to the National  Assembly a priority," the appeal says.

Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II also made an appeal to  Pashinyan to resign, stressing that the Armenian Apostolic Church  asks the prime minister to leave.

To note, at 12:00 Yerevan time the term of the ultimatum expired,  which the opposition gave to the incumbent Prime Minister of Armenia  Nikol Pashinyan, so that he voluntarily and bloodlessly surrender  power and resign. Opposition forces have presented a single RA Prime  Minister in the person of Vazgen Manukyan, who will take the place of  Pashinyan and form an interim government that will take the country  out of the crisis that emerged after the signing on November 9 of the  notorious document on surrender in the war over Nagorno-Karabakh.  Manukyan also undertakes to organize elections to the country's  parliament within a year, in which he and his team will not take  part.

And since the Prime Minister of Armenia is not going to resign, the  opposition has planned actions of disobedience in the form of  blocking streets in order to paralyze traffic, and not only in  Yerevan, but in all regions of Armenia. At that moment, a collapse  was created in Yerevan. Opposition representatives have blocked all  major transport routes in the city. Today, opposition parties are  trying to get Pashinyan to leave with his own methods, which he had  resorted to 2.5 years ago.
