MP: If the nation`s resources are not urgently mobilized, the  situation can completely get out of control

Arkady Khachatrian, a deputy of  the RA National Assembly from the "Enlightened Armenia" faction,  stated this at the parliamentary hearings on the current situation in  the country on December 7.

According to him, a very difficult moral and psychological situation  has developed in the country, the dignity of the people has been  grossly violated, and social problems are appearing every day. This  year alone, an 8% economic decline is expected, which means a  decrease in the average standard of living of a citizen of Armenia.  Against this background, there is a sharp increase in public debt,  huge uncertainties for business entities and citizens who have  changed their image, which generates risks to financial stability.   The only thing that is observed in the country today is macroeconomic  stability, which can collapse if financial stability is violated, and  this, in turn, will lead to an economic disaster. In the face of such  uncertainty, investment should not be expected. Meanwhile, without  investments and attracting foreign capital, it is impossible to  modernize the economy, ensure the growth of production potential and  the development of human capital. Moreover, there is currently an  outflow of capital.

Unfortunately, as noted by Arkady Khachatryan, the war left its mark  on the demographic situation, the country lost thousands of "gold"  guys. "Uncertainty can play a negative role in the opening of  borders, which will lead to the emigration of the population."
