ArmInfo. From 6:00 pm on several streets of Yerevan, actions of civil disobedience have been taking place, demanding the resignation of current Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
Chanting "Nikol leave!", "Nikol the traitor", the protesters close the streets and block the movement of cars. In particular, the protesters blocked the intersection of Mashtots Avenue and Pushkin Street, as well as the intersection of Abovyan and Moskovyan, Teryan and Moskovyan streets.
However, citizens block the movement for no more than 5 minutes, given the warning received from law enforcement agencies. It is reported that otherwise the protesters will be subjected to arrest.
To remind, the organizers of the rally, which began on November 10 with the signing of the trilateral agreement by the head of the Armenian government, are the opposition forces of Armenia. It is worth noting that today the opposition finally presented its candidate for the post of RA Prime Minister. It was Vazgen Manukyan, who previously held the positions of the RA Defense Minister (1992-1993) and the RA Prime Minister (1990-1991).
To note, 17 opposition parties announced the creation of the Council for Salvation of Motherland. The Council today adopted a statement in which they accused Nikol Pashinyan of leading the country to surrender, inflicting serious losses on the people, nullifying many years of national achievements. "Every hour of Pashinyan's activity and his regime is a threat to our statehood and the security of the citizens of Armenia. It is obvious that the regime, which has failed in all areas, is unable to withstand geopolitical challenges, overcome the deepening political, social, economic and psychological crisis in the country, "the Movement said in a statement. The goal of the Movement is a constitutional change of power.
