ArmInfo.A new investigative body will be created in Armenia - the Anti-Corruption Committee. RA Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
He recalled that at the December 3 meeting, the RA government approved a package of legislative initiatives aimed at solving the set task. The new structure, as the minister noted, will also be engaged in operational search activities. In order to avoid misunderstandings related to the financial resources provided for these purposes, the minister pointed out the need to increase the efficiency of the specialized body's detection of corruption crimes. Additional budgetary expenditures will not be required to finance the new structure. With the creation of the anti-corruption committee, it will become necessary to reduce the number of staff in other bodies, which will be transferred to the newly created committee. Most of the funding is capital in nature and will be funded by donors during 2021-2023.
