ArmInfo. Armenian Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan met with representatives of Human Rights Watch. Tatoyan wrote about this on his page on Facebook. The Ombudsman noted that during the meeting he told the representatives of the organization about the atrocities of Azerbaijan, stressing that the return of prisoners of war, as well as the exchange of bodies, must be carried out as soon as possible.
"Human Rights Watch recently released a report that said the Azeri Armed Forces have captured many Armenian soldiers. According to the report, the prisoners have been subjected to violence and abuse, videos that are widely circulated on social networks testify to this. The organization noted that the armed Azerbaijani forces use violence against Armenian prisoners in order to humiliate them. We continue to inform the international community about torture and atrocities committed by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, as well as war crimes committed by Azerbaijan. Our goal is to make every effort for the earliest possible return of Armenian prisoners of war and captives to their homeland, "Tatoyan emphasized.
