ArmInfo. Hayk Alumyan, the lawyer of the second president in Armenia, said that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is trying to put pressure on the judges. The lawyer said this in an interview with reporters.
According to Alumyan, yesterday the prime minister organized consultations with representatives of the Armenian legal system. "It is noteworthy that the very judges who had previously rejected the prosecutor's request to arrest a number of citizens were invited to the meeting. In no civilized country are judges called by phone," the lawyer stressed.
He also said that the team of lawyers filed a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights in connection with the fact that the Armenian authorities are trying to put pressure on judges. "It was not the first time, we have cited the facts of blocking the buildings of the courts of Armenia, and many other similar incidents. Now, judges are simply invited to the government, under the pretext of consultations, this can also be regarded as a fact of pressure. One gets the impression that the prime minister is deliberately presenting the facts to us so that we can win this case.
