ArmInfo. The current situation in Artsakh and regional processes were discussed during a telephone conversation by Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan and Great Britain's Permanent Secretary for European Neighborhood and America Wendy Morton.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Ayvazyan spoke about the humanitarian crisis that arose as a result of the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression with the participation of foreign armed terrorists, and steps taken to overcome it. In this context, the Armenian Foreign Minister stressed the need for the participation of relevant international organizations in the actions taken to create and ensure conditions for the return of displaced Armenians of Artsakh to their homeland.
Ayvazyan stressed the priority of restoring and protecting the rights of the Karabakh Armenians, including by recognizing the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination.
The parties touched upon the issues of post-war restoration and maintenance of stability in the South Caucasus. In this regard, the RA Foreign Minister noted that Turkey's expansionist ambitions could have devastating consequences for the entire region.
