ArmInfo. In 2021, the water tariff for consumers in Armenia will remain the same, amounting to 180 drams per cubic meter. This decision was made at a meeting of the Public Services Regulatory Commission.
It is reported that according to the Commission's calculations and taking into account the results of monitoring the actual volume of retail water supply, the total value of retail tariffs for per cubic meter was 178,247 drams (including VAT), which is less than the total value of the current tariffs by 1,753 drams / cubic meter (including VAT). Taking into account that in 2022 it is planned to increase base tariffs for retail services, in order to mitigate this growth, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures and Veolia Jur company discussed the difference between the tariffs for retail services in effect in 2020 and tariffs calculated for 2021, and decided to transfer this difference to 2022, thereby reducing the tariff. This decision will enter into force on January 1, 2021.
