ArmInfo.Issues related to the evacuation of the bodies of Armenian servicemen who died as a result of the Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression against Artsakh, the determination of the fate of missing persons, the release of prisoners of war and prisoners of war were discussed during the meeting by NKR Foreign Minister Masis Mayilyan and a delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) led by a high-ranking ICRC mission representative Pascal Hund.
As reported by the NKR Foreign Ministry, in this context Masis Mayilyan pointed out the importance of carrying out works in this direction in a short time.
In turn, Pascal Hund informed about the humanitarian aid provided to the civilian population by the Artsakh office of the ICRC in cooperation with the state structures of the republic to meet their urgent needs.
It is also worth noting that on the eve of the ICRC representatives visited the Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that the more accurate data on the number of dead, missing and captured as a result of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh has not yet been made public. According to the latest data from the Russian side, with the mediation of the ICRC and the Russian peacekeeping contingent, an exchange of 350 dead from both sides took place.
