ArmInfo. The economic situation in Armenia, and throughout the world, is difficult, and it developed even before the war, and this was associated with the  coronavirus pandemic. This was stated in an interview with TASS by RA  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

 According to him, now there is a need to assess what impact the war had on the economy. "We must not only calculate the damage, but also take concrete steps to restore economic stability. We are working on this, and in the roadmap that I  published there are concrete steps aimed at restoring economic  stability. We are working on this and will work, and I am sure that  concrete steps will lead to concrete results, "the head of the  Armenian government said.

He believes that the Armenian society agrees that in the situation  when this document was signed, there was no real alternative that  would be better for the Armenian side. "Another question is that we  still need to analyze, understand and answer the questions, why  everything happened and why we came to such a situation. But the fact  that at the time of November 9 there was simply no alternative, I  think such a perception of the situation is present in Armenian  society ", - said the prime minister.  He also said that concrete  decisions were made to return refugees and create living conditions  for people who were left without housing and work. The Prime Minister  pointed to the financial support of those people who need it. "Two  programs have already been adopted, and five more social programs  will be adopted in the next few days. We are working on this topic  every day, and I am sure that we will be able to stabilize the  situation. I am very glad that there is a fairly good flow of return  of the residents of Nagorno- Karabakh. Nagorno-Karabakh reported two  days ago that 25 thousand residents of Nagorno-Karabakh have already  returned, and we are confident that most of the residents of  Nagorno-Karabakh will return by the end of the year. And, of course,  we are going to create all the necessary conditions for this, "Nikol  Pashinyan stressed ...

He also pointed to the role of the Russian Federation, which also  intends to take steps to ensure the return of residents of Nagorny  Karabakh to their homes. "Of course, there are many houses that were  destroyed, and we need to start reconstruction work, but our idea is  that first we need to provide prompt financial assistance to these  people so that with the help of these finances they can satisfy their  primary needs to return to Nagorno-Karabakh .  I can now say that it  is clear how this process is really happening, and this is really  good news, "the Armenian prime minister said, expressing hope for the  return of refugees to their homes in the villages that came under the  control of the Azerbaijani side. "Yes, this concerns the regions of  Nagorno-Karabakh, and our joint statement envisages the return of  these people to their homes. Specifically, on this point, we need to  create specific mechanisms, specific security guarantees, and it is  necessary to ensure and organize this entire process. This process  should become a priority for negotiation process " - said Nikol  Pashinyan.  Answering the question about unblocking economic and  transport links in the region, as discussed in tripartite joint  statement, head of the Armenian government pointed out the importance  of this point. "I think that in the near future we should concentrate  on this. Because when we talk about economic stabilization not only  in Armenia, but throughout the region, we must take concrete steps.  We are talking about economic the situation that has arisen in  Armenia, but it must be stated that the economic situation in all  countries of the region and worldwide is not very good and this is  due to the coronavirus pandemic. That is, this is a global problem,  this is a regional problem, and, of course, the political agreement  that exists on unblocking transport communications, this can become a  starting point for changing not only the economic situation in the  region, but also the entire logic of economic development in our  region ... And I hope that we will be able to implement the political  agreements that are fixed in the joint statement.
