ArmInfo. The calls made by the opposition have not received wide support in the Armenian society. This was stated in an interview with TASS by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, answering a question about violent protests and even calls for the resignation of the head of government.
Nikol Pashinyan stated that there is internal political tension in the country. "But the truth is that the calls made by the opposition have not received wide publicity in the Armenian society. And I think that the issue of power, which was formed by the people, can only be resolved by the will of the people. The fact is that the calls made by the opposition do not receive support from the Armenian society. This must be stated, "the RA Prime Minister stressed.
He noted that now the primary task of the government and all political forces of the Republic of Armenia should be the restoration of complete stability and security of the Republic of Armenia. "I mean not only internal security, but also external. I have published a roadmap for a six-month period, and over the next six months we must work to stabilize the situation. I mean the political situation, the security situation, economic stability. After that, we will consult with our society, people, political forces and make a decision about further events and further steps, what we should do next, "Nikol Pashinyan said.
The head of government admitted that not everyone is happy with the current situation. "But, to be honest, I am not very happy either, we are all unhappy with the situation that we have. But we need to understand what alternatives we have. We must work not to make the situation worse, but to stabilize the situation, improve it. And As I said, I mean not only internal, but also external stability and security, also economic security and stability, and we should focus on these issues. This does not mean that the government believes that everything is fine and everything is in order. On the contrary, we believe that we must first not aggravate the situation, not make it worse. Now we are faced with many questions about the return of the citizens of Arkhats-Nagorno-Karabakh to their homes. We need to provide some social guarantees for the citizens of Nagorno-Karabakh and those people who have lost their homes It is necessary to stabilize the socio-economic situation in Armenia. Unfortunately, as in the whole world, the coronavirus pandemic continues in Armenia. That is, our common goal should be one hundred bilification of the situation, and after that we must make a decision on how to proceed, "Nikol Pashinyan noted. He stressed that the authorities periodically publish lists of the victims. "Unfortunately or fortunately, we had cases when it was officially announced that a particular person died, but it turned out that he was alive. And now it is very important to be careful in this matter. We, of course, are not going to hide anything, and our citizens will have full information. As for the missing. We had cases when people were considered missing, but then their whereabouts were established. They returned, and it turned out that due to some circumstances they simply could not contact their relatives, or friends, or official structures. That is, now there is a process of clarifying all these issues. Of course, a lot of work is being done to find the possible locations of the missing. Now it is very important, as I said, the exchange of prisoners and detainees. We work closely with the Russian government, and I am in close contact with the President of Russia, and the peacekeepers who are in Nagorno-Karabakh are also very actively involved in this th process. My point is that it is wrong to publish the numbers at the moment because they will not be one hundred percent accurate. That is, our policy is that we will publish figures, but first we must be sure that those who are listed as missing will not return in the next hours and will not make themselves felt. To avoid such incidents, the information must be verified, rechecked, and so on, because here we are dealing with human destinies, emotions, and we need to be very careful, "said the Prime Minister.
