Armenian Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan at a meeting with Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergei Kopyrkin noted the importance of effective cooperation with the Russian Embassy and thanked for the prompt exchange of information on the protection of the rights of compatriots living in the Russian Federation.
As reported by the press service of the RA Ombudsman, Tatoyan also provided the Ambassador with information on the atrocities, cruelty and torture committed by the Azerbaijani military during September- November, as well as systematized Armenophobia with state support in Azerbaijan.
The Ombudsman praised the relationship based on mutual trust with Federal Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Tatyana Moskalkova. Tatoyan presented to Kopyrkin the results of his joint work with his Russian counterpart during the new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, when, in conditions of closed borders, lack of flights, it became possible to unite Armenian families, return children to their parents, and assist with treatment.
In turn, Kopyrkin stressed the importance of effective cooperation with the Ombudsman of Armenia, pointing out the need to continue interaction. The parties agreed to continue cooperation and exchange of information aimed at protecting human rights.
