ArmInfo. The current situation could have been avoided if the head of state had thought not about likes on social networks, or how to keep his position, but about the interests of Armenia. RPA press secretary Eduard Sharmazanov stated this at the opposition rally.
According to him, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan proved that he cannot ensure the security of Armenians in Armenia and Artsakh. "Moreover, Pashinyan does not have the moral right to lead the country. He stated that he would not sign any agreement repenting Artsakh without consulting the people of Armenia and NKR. As a result, he ignored all the citizens of the country and secretly signed the shameful surrender agreement," - Sharmazanov emphasized.
The RPA spokesman noted that during the war he deceived the people by talking about victory and advancement, which in fact did not exist. Moreover, he continued, during meetings with political forces, party representatives proposed solutions to the prime minister that would not have such catastrophic consequences, both in terms of human losses and in terms of territorial concessions. "All our proposals were rejected, and as a result, a shameful act of surrender was signed. No one here wants to come to power, our demand is that the prime minister resign. We need a strong Armenia, where there will be no place for the leader who signed the capitulation," - Sharmazanov emphasized. At the same time, he called the assertion that the opposition knew about the state of affairs at the front as a base lie.
"Until the last day of the war, the Prime Minister stated that the Armenian side controls the city of Shushi. At the meeting, we were told that our army has a number of achievements. We expressed our concern about the situation, but they simply did not listen to us. Before the war, neither Aliyev nor Erdogan could not even dream that Hadrut, Shushi, Talish would be part of Azerbaijan, "the RPA spokesman said. Sharmazanov also noted that the authorities should no longer look for the guilty, they should take responsibility for themselves. "From the first days of Pashinyan's coming to power, our party spoke about his mistakes. We noted that the situation urgently needs to be corrected. Pashinyan himself provoked the war, with his statements that Artsakh is Armenia. Now, say that someone else is to blame. Pashinyan is simply naive, "Sharmazanov concluded.
