Armen Sarkissian: Only the OSCE Minsk Group has a mandate to resolve  the Artsakh issue

ArmInfo.During the meeting with cultural and sports figures, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian stressed that it is necessary to return to the negotiation process  within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group as soon as possible.  This was reported by the presidential press service.

According to the source, Sargsyan noted that despite the fact that  Russian peacekeepers are already stationed in Artsakh, this does not  mean that the process is settled.

It is necessary to resume the process of negotiations within the  framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co- chaired by Russia, the United  States and France as soon as possible, only this group has a mandate  to resolve this issue. This document also does not determine the  final status of Artsakh, and in this regard, representatives of the  presidential administration and the French Foreign Ministry have  already made statements. The French Foreign Minister has already  discussed this topic with the Russian Foreign Minister. I believe  that there are all the preconditions for the process to return to the  format of the Minsk Group, "the president said.

Sarkissian also noted that it is necessary to resume negotiations,  and in order for them to be successful, it is important to have a  strong Armenia and Artsakh. According to the president, we can only  achieve success in this case.
