As the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia reported earlier, on November 9, at 6:39 local time, the department's control panel received a signal that a Russian helicopter fell into a ravine by the road leading from Yeraskh community to Paruyr Sevak village and was caught in fire. The operational group of the Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia and three rescue and fire brigades left for the scene of the incident.
"It turned out that a Russian Mi-24 helicopter fell in a field 2 km from the road leading to the village of Paruyr Sevak and caught fire. According to preliminary data, two people died. The fire was localized at 7.48pm, extinguished at 8.11pm ", the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia noted.
ArmInfo was unable to obtain official information on the reasons for the crash of the Russian Air Force helicopter at the time of publication. The media circulated information that the helicopter was shot down from the territory of Nakhijevan (Azerbaijan).
