ArmInfo.Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to Joe Biden on the occasion of his election as President of the United States of America.
The message spread by the press service of the RA government, in particular, reads: "Dear Mr. Biden! Please accept our heartfelt congratulations on your election as President of the United States of America. I am sure that the rich experience and knowledge gained as a result of many years of political and legislative activities will help you in your efforts to bring the United States and the people of the United States to prosperity. During your tenure, you have made a great contribution to strengthening the Armenian- American friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation. The Armenian people appreciate your principled position regarding the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and its protection I am convinced that during your presidency, the Armenian-American bilateral relations based on common democratic values will continue to develop in accordance with the level of strategic dialogue between our states. This is an invaluable contribution to this process. Armenia attaches great importance to the role of the United States in the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group. As you know, for over a month now, Azerbaijan and Turkey, ignoring all the efforts of the co-chairs to establish a ceasefire regime, have continued joint aggression against Armenia and Artsakh with the participation of foreign terrorists. In this regard, I welcome your vision of resolving the issue exclusively by peaceful means, which you expressed as a presidential candidate. I am full of hope that your administration will take active steps to end the war and a comprehensive settlement, which should be based on ensuring the security of the people of Artsakh through the exercise of their right to self-determination. Once again, I congratulate you on your election as President of the United States, I wish you good health, success and fruitful activity. "
