According to the source, the Prime Minister highly appreciated the work of the Italian Ambassador to Armenia, during which the effective development of bilateral relations was recorded. In this context, Nikol Pashinyan noted the importance of 2019, during which he made an official visit to Italy. The prime minister thanked the ambassador for his personal contribution to the advancement of the Armenian-Italian agenda. In turn, the Italian Ambassador to Armenia noted that he made every effort to further increase the level of Armenian-Italian cooperation. The interlocutors noted that Armenia and Italy have great potential for cooperation, and mutual steps are being taken to fully implement it.
The sides exchanged views on the war unleashed by Azerbaijan and Turkey against Artsakh. Vincenzo del Monaco expressed condolences over the deaths of military personnel and civilians, expressing regret that he was leaving Armenia at this difficult time.
Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that the Armenian people are united and are determined to overcome this difficult situation and achieve a political settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with the support of international partners.
