ArmInfo. Armenia has submitted additional evidence to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) confirming Turkey's failure to comply with the decision of October 6, 2020 on the application of immediate measures in accordance with Rule 39 of the European Court of Human Rights
. This is stated in the statement of the RA representation to the ECHR. "The RA government informed the Court about the ongoing direct and indirect participation of Turkey in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
There was also credible evidence of the involvement of Syrian mercenaries in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, who were transferred to Azerbaijan and deployed by Turkish troops. At the same time, Turkey continues its participation with open statements about its readiness to help Azerbaijan in the conflict. The evidence presented to the court is supported by statements by senior foreign officials, " - noted in the statement.
It should be reminded that the European Court of Human Rights recognized Turkey's intervention in the Karabakh conflict and the recruitment of militants for the purpose of transferring them to Azerbaijan. On October 5, the ECHR received a request from the Armenian government to apply, on the basis of Rule 39, interim measures, first of all, against Turkey in connection with the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. Armenia went to court on the basis of information about the transfer of militants from Syria and Libya to the Karabakh conflict zone. The court confirmed the decision of September 29 on the application of interim measures and calls on all countries directly or indirectly involved in the conflict, including Turkey, to refrain from violating the rights of civilians provided for by the European Convention. This means that the court agreed with the arguments of the Armenian side and with the presented evidence.
