Armenian Embassy in Austria urged compatriots to be vigilant

ArmInfo.The Armenian Embassy in Austria appealed to compatriots, urging them to be more vigilant.

"Dear compatriots, taking into account the situation in Vienna and  anti-terrorist operations, please be more vigilant and avoid  unnecessary movements, following the instructions of the authorities.  If necessary, please contact the embassy at the following number - 00  43 (0) 1 522 74 79 105" ,  reads the statement of the Armenian  diplomatic mission.

The previous evening, shooting took place at six points in the  central part of Vienna, including near the synagogue. One person  killed, 15 were injured, among them one policeman. One of the  shooters was killed by the police. According to the police, several  well-armed men started the shooting.

Interior Minister Karl Nehammer and Austrian Chancellor Sebastian  Kurz qualified the incident as a terrorist attack. The population is  advised to avoid public places and transport, as well as not to  distribute photos and videos of the work of special services. In the  city for several hours a large-scale forceful special operation to  search for and capture criminals continues.
