ArmInfo. The first President of Armenia Levon Ter- Petrosyan commented on the response of the Russian side to the letter of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, addressed to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
According to iLur.am Levon Ter-Petrosyan, in particular, noted: <Nikol (Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan - ed. note) sent letter-request to Vladimir Putin. Putin responded to it through the Foreign Ministry. Don't you understand what he said? If you do not understand this either, then woe is us! He said with all sincerity and decency only the following: "I am obliged and ready to ensure full security of Armenia, but realize, I cannot solve the Karabakh issue instead of you."
To recall, yesterday, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to hold immediate consultations in order to determine the type and amount of assistance that the Russian Federation can provide to the Republic of Armenia to ensure its security, based on the allied relations between Armenia and Russia and Article 2 <Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance> dated August 29, 1997. The Russian Foreign Ministry reacted to this appeal of Armenia, stressing that Russia will fulfill its obligations under the agreement as soon as the clashes spread to the territory of Armenia.
